Hey, here’s a question for you. Have you ever picked up something right out of the oven that was still super hot and continued to hold on to it once you realized it was burning your hand? Or put it down because it was burning and then picked it right back up? I know it seems silly, but think about it. As soon as you feel the pain you let go almost immediately right?
So, why then do we hold on to things that burn us emotionally?
We’ve all done it. Get hurt emotionally, rehash it in our minds, talk about it and stir up all those emotions again. I believe moving forward, I’m going to label emotional hurt as “hot coal” as a reminder to “let it go”. I don’t know about you, but I wanna be happy.
