Soy Sauce Ninja says I’m Taller

I drew this Ninja in my left over soy sauce with one of my chopsticks

I love embracing that part of myself that’s forever playful and curious. I love sharing my child like ways of viewing the world and encountering people. I still play in my food and see imaginary animals and made up creatures in the patterns of wood grain in tables, doors and floors. I love the sense of endless possibilities and limitless creativity. This is where I live, in a world of ANYTHING is possible and it feels amazing.

I was at Trader Joe’s recently and saw one of the friendly clerks and she said, “I haven’t seen you in a while. Where have you been?” All of a sudden I felt like a little kid, like when I used to be greeted with something like the following, “I haven’t seen you in a while, look at how much you’ve grown” except since I’ve been a full grown adult, I can’t remember the last time someone has noted my growth. Which is kinda a bummer, ya know? Cuz I’m still growing.

So, I asked her, “Do I look taller?” She looked at me kinda puzzled and said, “Not really, why? Have you grown?” I said, “I’m always growing, ya know spiritually,…”. She paused to ponder the notion and said, “Yeah I guess we’re still growing I guess. Hopefully, anyway.” I said, “Yup! Look at me I’m spiritually taller” She tilted her head back with laughter as she restated what I had said, “I’m spiritually taller,…. oh that’s great.” To be completely honest with you guys, I’m actually physically shorter. Last time I was measured, my doctor logged 5’7″ even in my chart. I’ve been 5’8″ in the past, and I’ve been hanging on to that height in the 5’7.5″ range, but had to totally come to terms with being shorter when I measured in at 5’7″ even. That’s ok, I’d rather be spiritually taller.

The star people speak

I am really very open to spiritual guidance. I believe that there is a whole lot more that we don’t understand than what we can wrap our little human brains around and I am open to being able to get messages from anything that is pure positive energy. I believe in communication with spirits, animals and beings over space and time. I believe in energy.

20140216-180053.jpgI believe in reincarnation as well. Keri and I once met a lady named Diana that had been to Brazil to meet John of God. In Diana’s meeting with John of God, she believes she was given the gift of being able to speak with the star people (I’ve not met the star people, nor have I heard of them anywhere else before or since, but as I said before I believe there is far more that we do not know about than what we do know).

When we were visiting with Diana towards the end of our visit she asked me for permission to enter my realm of energy. I allowed it and she held out one hand towards me, all fingers in a relaxed openness pointing towards me. Her thumb was pointing up towards the ceiling and her whole fore arm was kinda of doing a little shimmy back and forth. Her other hand hand was up in the air above her head as if she were some kind of antenna or conduit of energy from me to some outer realm. She began to sing a song of words that I did understand and I am assuming when she spoke words that I did not understand that she was communicating with the star people right there in our presence. She told me this was my third lifetime with Keri. The first time we were together, was during a time of survival, like cave man days, the next time we were together was during pioneer times. I was a farmer and Keri was my wife. We had children. This time is our 3rd time together.

No money was exchanged and we did not go to meet Diana for any type of reading or counsel. We went to her home in Banks Oregon because we were interested at the time in buying a house a little further out of town with a little bit of property. We saw a flyer on the New Season’s bulletin board, so we went. It was a very interesting meeting. We liked the property, but it wasn’t in our price range.

I believe life have challenges and during these challenging times we learn a great deal. I also believe we can chose happiness. I’d much rather be happy and I will search far and wide, delve deep into a practice of something new to achieve the next level of happiness. I just want to feel happy and be happy. I think it is SUPER FUCKIN’ cool that Keri and I have been together before. Whether it is true or not, I have no idea or proof, but there was absolutely no reason for Diana to make it up. It would not benefit her at all to fabricate such a story, so I just choose to believe it. It adds character to our relationship and it’s fun to think about being that into each other that we would find each other three times and then choose to be together.

What makes us who we are?

You know those annoying little typos that occur when texting or posting a comment to Facebook? We all do these things and that is just part of what makes us who we are and how we relate to each other. Even George Takei can relate.

I think it’s interesting the different ways people react to their typo/autocorrect errors. Some people add a correction line below along with an “Ugh”, some people curse autocorrect and try to correct their error and create another one (growing more frustrated), some people just don’t give a shit and leave it or don’t notice.

It sure is fun though being connected to so many people. I love being able to see what my family and friends are up to all over the world. I can just pop on to Facebook and for a moment interact with my friends in other states, see where my mom and son are traveling or comment on how beautiful all my nieces are and tease my friends. I can send love out into the world and have it reach a whole bunch of people. By the way, I can do that without any app or device, but I love the interaction.

I love connecting with people and allowing ourselves to affect each others lives. I love the little typos and imperfections of life, they help remind us that we are all just people out here in the world doing the best that we can with what we’ve got.

Let’s all just take a moment to ponder that and give ourselves a freakin’ break for not being perfect human beings. It will never happen and while we’re at it, let’s give our neighbor a break too, or that guy that cut you off on the highway, just take a deep breath and bless him on his hurried way. Sure, you can bless him with your finger gesture, maybe that’s how blessings are given in your culture.

We live in a fast pace imperfect reality full of typos, cut-offs, overcharges, miscounted change and misunderstandings. We all do these things and that is just part of what makes us who we are and how we relate to each other.

The other part of what makes us who we are is love, tenderness, patience, acceptance, forgiveness and kindness. All of those things help us relate to each other as well and that part of us is where we can find our perfection. The perfectly loving spiritual side of ourselves.

So, yes it is true, we will never be perfect human beings, BUT we ARE perfect spiritual beings. Knowing that this perfect aspect of yourself exists and taking a moment to be in that part of yourself allows you to accept yourself as an imperfect human being and creates space in your reality for acceptance of other people’s imperfect humanness too.

So let’s leave our typos in our texts when they occur and know that when you see a typo it is an opportunity for someone to love themselves as their imperfect human self.

I live you ver much!!!
